Getting Registered - Tournament One will consist of 4 8-man brackets, and 32 members total. If you would like to compete, simply post on the board "Tournament Participants - Register Here" ( Link to it here!). The only current restriction is no more than 4 members from one guild. This is subject to change for future tournaments. Please note, in order to post on this thread you must register on this forum. Guests are not enabled to post on that particular thread. Tournament Rules - Rules are being kept simple since this is the first tournament. - No AS Frags
- Maximum Three Nano Units Per Formation
- Limit 1 Plane Per Formation. Limit 1 Legendary Mammoth Per Formation.
- You May Use a Different Formation Each Battle
Advancing - Winner is decided in a best 2 of 3 matchup. Each player must go first once, even if this requires a player to pass in round 2 in order to facilitate this. Once you have friended your opponent and completed your best of 3 series, post your results under the board "Match Results" (Link Here!).
So that's the skinny. Feel free to use other areas of the forum to chat, hang out, and meet new players.

So if you do 3 fvf, can you go first in 1 and 2, and let your opponent go first on the 3rd?

Hey HP, with regards to who goes first rather than a player skipping his turn (which in some cases would still give the skipper an advantage as the LM cry and Wild Boar attack just need a 1 turn prep) the starter of the second match, must be the person who started second in the first match, the third and final match can be down to who ever is quicker ;-). The way to avoid skipping and giving away an advantage would be for the player who started in the first match to wait until there are 30 seconds left to accept before pressing go, this way the other player will definitely get to start a match.
I posted this in another thread and I believe it was agreed to implement this within the rules, the fairest way I can think of doing it, 1 start each then a free for all

Just another option.

After two weeks of planning, Tournament One now has a completed bracket!
Round 1 matches may officially commence starting tomorrow afternoon (3:00 p.m. EST). If you and your opponent both agree, please feel free to begin sooner. Round 1 matches must be completed by Sunday at midnight (again, EST). If you need a time allowance, please inform a tournament director ASAP so that we may decide on a course of action.
Since there are 32 participants from all over the world, I am unsure of an exact timeline for each round. We will simply need to play this tournament by ear and use data from this tournament as a guideline for future ones. Please stay informed through the forum or a guild liaison to stay current with match results and round completions.
The rules are:
1. No AS frags 2. Maximum 3 Nano Units 3. Maximum 1 Air Unit 4. Maximum 1 Legendary Mammoth 5. Best 2 of 3 winner advances. Each player must go once first in the first two matches. The player who goes first in match 1 should wait until 30 seconds or less display for setting your formation in match 2. This should ensure the other player will go first in Match 2. In the event a 3rd tie-breaking match is needed, whoever can set their formation fastest will go first. 6. Please get all matches done in one sitting. You do not need to hit rematch. Nano rushing a unit to use again is acceptable.
Please remember this is the first multi guild tournament of its kind. It will not run perfectly. If you are unhappy with rules, or if you have questions you cannot find an answer to, let us know in the feedback section of the forum so we may address it.
Finally, please remember to post your match results or inform your region's moderator ASAP. More importantly, good luck to everyone participating and thank you for being a part of this.
Respectfully, Enbee

All,
With the introduction of Legendary Boar. Should we ban this unit for now? As it is very similar to LM and we have not put rules on this unit yet?

Yes, I think so. And for future tournaments, let's add a rule stating any units released once a tournament is in progress are prohibited for the duration of that tournament.

Agreed. I sent Lolfish a quick message when the LB came out agreeing not to use the unit. He agreed as well.

New units introduced during tournaments will be prohibited for the duration of the tournament. This is effective immediately and includes the new Legendary Boar and Plasma Technician.
We will review these units for future use after the tournament ends.
