Would it be easier on everyone to use GroupMe for director discussions?
Also, if this goes ok, I think we should obviously do another tournament. And if we do, then I think maybe we should workout a timeline, with dates for guild registration deadlines, participant submission deadlines, and then schedule days for each round of the regions. I know this is premature, but just wanted to get it out there.

Makes a great deal of sense to get things planned out sooner rather than later and I think GroupMe is a good way for quick communications but for discussions the forum is a better tool as it means that points do not get 'lost' amongst the conversation.

Other considerations for tournament 2 (T2?):
Making an official posting and stance on allowing substitutions. Say 2 for each guild maybe?
Reducing players per guild to allow more guilds.
Developing a FAQ based off feedback from this tournament.
Succession Planning for directors (please keep this confidential for now, but I may be stepping away from BN for a month or two to focus on grad school more).

Another thing to add to the list:
Need for proper DQ protocol. In other words, how should a player proceed if they feel one is warranted. I think the obvious course of action is to have them inform their regional moderator. Regional moderator can then make the decision alone if it's simple, or bring it up with the director if it's a bit unclear what action is required. Furthermore, since we have already done so this tournament, we should post on violations that warrant a round forfeiture as opposed to an outright DQ.
Lastly, Hansolo322 has been added to the group of directors. I hadn't realized we did not include a Phoenix member on the board of directors, and every guild should be represented here.

Hopefully we get to see you around Enbe, especially that your baby is starting to come into its own. I think we can keep posts on the forums, makes it alittle easier to follow, and if it is just directors, should not get cluttered.
Subs and succession seem to be best left in-house by the guild. I dont think we've had too many problems and where a substitute was needed (in my case, for example) the director (Powder) responded quickly and smoothly.
Agree on your DQ protocol. It would be nice to have more guilds inovlvled - seems alot of others want in now. If we want to keep it to 4 per guild, can increase the field to 64. Otherwise should have at least 2 per guild.
Tournaments once a month seems reasonable to me. Gives some time for guilds to have their own in-house tournaments, and balance out the rest of the events.

I'll add that I don't think substitutions after round 1 should be allowed tho. Once you go in round 1, should have to follow through or be DQ'd.

I have mentioned a couple of times, I think no subs should be allowed. If we are organised enough in advance this should not be needed.
any substitutions will delay the tournement as FR will have already be sent etc. I think a cut off before the tournament starts for substitutions should be implemented, i popped it on another thread, if it was a 1v1 tournament such as tae kwon do or something a sub would not be used.

I personally hate the sub idea, if you are unable to compete, then off you go.
Also, only two from each nation is really hard for us, since 00Nation is based on FVF, like a lot of guilds out there, there are a lot of good fvf players and reducing it to just two is... hard. Maybe we can hold more players, if like Enbee and Benji said, we are more organized. We had to turn down more than 10 players from 00N because they were late to register.
Having said this, sorry about what is going on between 007 and Madmg, I hope we will be able to sort this out soon and prevent it from ever happening again.

The issue with increasing the total amount of entrants will be organising throughout.
I also feel that we need a midlevel comp, that will make it more inclusive and is more likely to draw support from z2 and the community in general. I think that should be the way we increase it.
BSB wil be holding an internal competition to get our allocated spaces so all 00nation players will still have an equal chance in their own guild to get though if you do the same?
of course like everyone else i will go with the majority, i just think being inclusive to the majority is more important than being inclusive of a minority of people.
