So, despite 8 guilds expressing interest on the Z2 forums, we've only gotten 00N, MSW, DamNation, Clause 61 and BSB here...
I was considering posting the link to this forum on the FvF thread, and then we could just include the first four (if we can hopefully get that many) interested guilds that follow the link registered for this first tournament.
Does that make sense? Would any of you be opposed to that?
This is proving to be much more difficult than I imagined it should be...

I do find it strange that more Guilds have not stepped forward, the only explanation that I can think of is that many of the people who would relish the opportunity of a FvF tournament have not had a chance to see the threads or been told about it yet - they may not frequent the Forums that regularly and who could blame them the way they are right now - maybe give it a bit more time? Make the deadline for registration Monday 03 Feb Midnight GMT?
Posting the link directly to the Forum seems like a good idea, only negative would be the potential invite to the trolls and spammers but they can be dealt with effectively here, especially as many more potential contestants could immediately see that this was up and running which would entice them to get involved?
Another potential reason is Guilds may be trying to work out who gets the opportunity to represent them?
Anyway these weer just thoughts, I must sleep now as it is 5:00am and though it is Sunday I hate starting the week all out of sync!!

I posted an update on the Z2 thread to try and encourage more interest. I did realize too, that we actually only need two more guilds to get a director registered, which isn't bad.
So maybe let's see how tomorrow goes and we'll take it one day at a time.

One final thought for the night. To include those without full guild representation, we can have 7 registered guilds and then 4 "independent" spots. I already have one person that asked me to save them a spot as an independent, so I'm going to pencil them in as such until they get registered.
Mizzifreak has also expressed interest in joining even if her guild won't be full on board with the idea. So 1 group of 4 independents seems fair.

I saw the post on the thread and it looks, good, I also posted in a cross guild chat hoping to drum up some interest, some positive responses, will keep you guys informed on here. I am sure we will fill up today - also Mizzi is from BNA/G and is a he ;-) I think we should have a set of 4 independents.
Are we going to make it as difficult as possible for members of the same Guild to be drawn against each other in the early stages?
The issue of a draw? Very unlikely to occur but would be good to have a policy set up - say if 1 win each and the third match results in a draw - play one final decider? Obvioulsy if the players force quit after a draw they will have their units back as well and the opportunity to Nnao-recall, hopefully they will not do that.

Whoops on the Mizzi mix up.
Since we have four regions and 4 members per guild, guild mates can only meet up in the final four, as each is assigned to a separate region.
I'm fine with your policy on draws.
