Participating members, you must "sign off" by posting on this thread. Please include your guild affiliation and which timezone (or hemisphere) you live in.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. Infantry and Infected Units only
2. No unit repeats - all 7 units MUST be different
3. No Hunter (because it is an air unit)
4. A formation may only use one unit from the following: wimp, colossus, apex colossus. (i.e. You can't use both a wimp and colossus in your formation)
Format Changes
For KC4, we will be switching to a Round Robin tournament. We will have 16 groups of 4. Each group winner will then be placed into a 16-player single-elimination bracket.
For the round robin, each player will play against the 3 others in their group; 3 matches against each player, with rounds 1 and 2 alternating who goes first. Round 3 will be a quick draw. All 3 rounds with each player must be carried out. This is to ensure a group winner can be selected based on match record if a tie-breaker is needed.
As a quick note on why we're switching to a Round Robin: we want players in the tournament to have as much fun as possible. In previous tournaments, some players were out after 2 fights. This format will ensure all players get at least 9 fights.
For the championship match, we will hold a best-of-7. Alternating turns going first for round 1 and 2, then quick draw for the rest of the matches until one player wins 4 total rounds.
New Director
Finally, we'd like to welcome aboard PaulCrewe as our newest tournament director. He will be replacing ShyBenji who has stepped down to focus on BSB. We're looking forward to working with PaulCrewe and would like to say thanks to ShyBenji for all his work on the first three tournaments.
Submitting Match Results
The winner of each match is responsible for posting their results or having a guild representative do so on their behalf within 24 hours of completion. A moderator must also be notified within 24 hours so they may update the bracket. Directors will be listed by their Time Zone, for player convenience.
Terms For Disqualification
1) Inappropriate forum behavior or trolling.
2) Failure to "sign off" on tournament rules.
3) Use of an illegal formation.
4) Failure to accept your opponents friend request.
The DQ Process
If your opponent violates a tournament rule with an illegal formation, you must notify your region's moderator immediately. Rule violations will result in an immediate DQ. Please be advised that if a violation is made, even unintentionally, a DQ will still be given. This is necessary to ensure the tournament finishes within a reasonable time frame, and also to prevent lengthy debates regarding player intent.
