I hope everyone is enjoying the start of Kings Cup 3. If you have a moment though, I'd like to get some input and feedback on a few potential changes for the next tournament. I already have some superficial things in mind: new banner, restructuring the boards for the forum, etc., but there are some other issues where your discussion can directly influence the more important facets of the next tournament.
Here are some specific discussion points that I'm looking for discussion on:
Switching to a round robin format - players put a lot of time and practice into preparing for these tournaments. Switching to a round robin, although slightly more difficult to organize, would allow everyone at least 3 matches and eliminate the one-and-dones.
New rules or Same rules - I like the idea of switching rules to keep things fresh. But I also like the idea if giving players two tournaments with the same set of rules to give them a chance to learn and adjust for the next tournament. We've also gotten a lot of positive feedback with the rules in place now, so it might be best to reuse them instead of introducing new and less favorable rules.
Please feel free to add to these discussion points. All opinions and comments are appreciated so long as they are constructive. And as a reminder, all decisions will ultimately be made by the tournament directors.

Something that's helped in our inter guild tournaments is establishing a time zone for the tournament to be centered on. This way the clock starts at a specific time and not a revolving hour hitting every time zone separately. You might already have this in place but I didn't see it when I read through the official rules for KC3.
Just food for thought.
Good work on this tournament format and organization, I'm glad I got the chance to participate.

Any possible chance of having a tournament with no planes all ground troops, vehicles type of tourney? Or possibly all vehicles or a no holds bar any unit goes but a restriction like only 1 type of frag? Don't know if that would fly well with the having the ability to use an AS frag as not everyone has one.

A round robin system is very great, we (MOC) did that in our inter guild tourney, so everyone had a chance to do more battles. But I admit it is a lot harder to organise, and it takes a lot longer so the Kings Cup will become a tourney that lasts 1 month +.
Thanks for organising this.
Best regards, Luikind

If a round robin tourney is too onerous, a happy middle ground may be to make the tournament double elimination.

In my previous guild I organised the intra guild tournament and we did it as a round robin, it was difficult solely because the timezones were so diverse and I had to keep on at members to be organising their fights. You'd need to have contingency plans in case of drop out or illness. It was more fun and you then had a more accurate reflection across the board. I have to say the current rules give you endless possibilities, however, an all infantry competition would also be fun.

A round robin format would be great! Thank you to all the organisers of this awesome tournament.
